Ronni Kahn

Originally from South Africa, Ronni graduated from university and lived on kibbutz in Israel before migrating to Australia with her husband and two sons. Ronni has been in the event industry for 20 years, most recently running her own company Ronni Kahn Event Designs (RKED). In 2003, Ronni set up OzHarvest to rescue excess food from events. Since then, over 3 million meals have been delivered to those in need across Sydney. Ronni was a finalist in two Categories of the Telstra Business Womens Award 2008, The IBM Government and Community Award and the Nokia Award for Innovation. She has been a NSW Australia Day ambassador for the last three years. 

Julie Kalman

Julie Kalman lectures in Jewish history at the University of New South Wales and coordinates the Jewish Studies Program. She works on the history of antisemitism, with a focus on France, and her doctoral thesis on this topic will be published later this year by Cambridge University Press.

Michaela Kalowski

Michaela Kalowski is the researcher/producer for The Margaret Throsby Program at ABC Classic FM Radio. She graduated from UNSW with an arts/law degree. She has produced theatre and worked for several years in the film industry as a Music Supervisor on films including “Three Dollars” and “Romulus, My Father”. Michaela also produced the short film “Len’s Love Story” which premiered at the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival and screened at Tribeca Film Festival where it was voted one of New York Magazine’s top five shorts of the festival.   

Jeffrey Kamins

Jeffrey Kamins, Rabbi at Emanuel Synagogue for 20 years, Senior Rabbi for the last 10 years.  He is committed to principles of egalitarianism, inclusion and diversity and promotes text-based education as the way to Torah values in contemporary times.  He serves on the board of the Shalom Institute, and as one of the rabbinic consultants to Emanuel School, the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.   Jeffery Kamins

Rosemary Kariuki

'Sharing Our Stories, Sharing Our Strengths' will introduce you to the African Women's Group and their members' journey from their various homelands to Australia. Their stories, together with some from Donna Jacobs Sife, will provide an opportunity to find common ground with our own experiences of displacement and life in the Diaspora.  Rosemary Kariuki

 

Judy Kater 

Judy Kater has over 20 years' experience and professional training in Yoga, Meditation, Harmonic Sound Healings and Healthy Lifestyle Education. Judy founded the Relaxation Project to balance out the pace of busy lives and has produced two CDs enabling people to relax and to be nourished and rejuvenated.  Judy Kater

Lyndall Katz 

Lyndall Katz is dedicated to social justice and peace. She is co-convenor of Jewish Voices for Peace and Justice in Sydney and has been active in social justice issues with the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies. Lyndall has taught Re-evaluation Counselling since 1987 and, as a skilled facilitator, has led many workshops on eliminating antisemitism, ending racism, and listening to children through play.  Lyndall Katz

David Klahr 

Born and raised in London, David made aliyah in 1997. In 2005 he was accepted to Melton's prestigious Senior Educators Program in Jerusalem. David and his family relocated to Sydney in 2007. He is currently responsible for the formal Jewish Studies curriculum and the informal Jewish Studies program at Moriah College's Middle School. 

David Knoll 

A barrister by profession, David is also a Visiting Fellow at the University of NSW Law School, and has taught International Law, International Humanitarian law and International Peacemaking / the Arab - Israel Conflict at law schools in Australia and the United States. David Knoll

Aviva Kogus

Born in Israel to Australian Olim. Moved to Australia in 1991. Became the State Zionist Council Executive Director in 2008. President of the Jewish Folk Centre and a JCA Governor since 2004.

Ilan Kogus 

Dr Kogus is an experienced business coach specialising in the development and growth of small, medium and large companies in a wide range of industries in Australia and overseas. He is known for his work with elite sporting teams and was the facilitator of Australia's 2020 National Health and Hospital Review Commission.  Ilan Kogus
