Bettina Cass

Bettina Cass is Professorial Fellow at the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of NSW. She has been a university teacher and researcher in Sociology and Social Policy since 1974. She has conducted policy reviews for Commonwealth and State Governments, the Australian and NSW Law Reform Commissions and the OECD. Her research includes analyses of policies for families, people with disability, active and productive ageing, Indigenous well-being, care-giving, and social inclusion. She is Chair of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies Social Justice Committee and a member of the South Australian Government’s Social Inclusion Board.    Bettina Cass

Elyse Chiert

Elyse Chiert is the Director of Network, the young adult department of The Shalom Institute. Network's main goal is to ensure that young Jews stay connected and engaged with their Jewish community through social, cultural and educational activities. Elyse has been working in the Jewish community and with Jewish young adults for over five years and has a great understanding of how her demographic identifies with being Jewish today.  
 

Yvonne Coburn

Yvonne Coburn was elected to Waverley Council, representing the Liberal Party, in 2008. Trained as a lawyer (and admitted as a barrister), Yvonne made her career in top-level executive search and management consulting. In 1996 she was a finalist in the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year (NSW).  
 

Eli Cohen

Eli Cohen is Rabbi of the Kensington Shul and Director of the Sydney branch of Jews for Judaism, the only full-time counter-missionary organisation in Australasia. He has been involved in Jewish outreach and education since 1995. He began to specialize in the counter-missionary field in 2004. He has taught numerous courses on Jewish-Christian polemics and has appeared on radio programs. Eli Cohen 
 

Jeff Cohen

Reed Conaway

Reed Conaway is a Counter-Terrorism Analyst and expert on Pakistan-based Islamic ideologies. Having worked extensively on the issue of radicalism in Western Muslim communities he brings the history of fundamentalist Islam together with the issues of our time.  
 

Allison Conyer

Rabbi Allison Conyer was the first woman rabbi in NSW. Associate Rabbi at North Shore Temple Emanuel in Chatswood for nearly 8 years, she recently returned to Sydney from three years in the United States, where she was Executive Director of Santa Barbara Hillel, serving Jewish university students. Rabbi Conyer currently teaches part time at Emanuel School.

Bryan Conyer

Bryan recently recommenced working at Emanuel School as the Deputy Principal, Jewish Life. He is currently completing his PhD at the University of Sydney, focusing on pluralism within Jewish education. Bryan enjoys interactive sessions, where each person in the room is encouraged to draw upon their personal life experiences to challenge the ideas and information that each session brings.

Alan Crown

Emeritus Professor Alan Crown AM was Head of the Department of Semitic Studies at the University of Sydney for 15 years and was a founding member of the Paris-based Society for Samaritan Studies. He is Chairman of Mandelbaum House, the Jewish residential college at the University of Sydney. Alan Crown
