Anthony Bubalo
| Anthony Bubalo is Program Director, West Asia at the Lowy Institute for International Policy in Sydney, Australia. His principal research interest is the politics of the Middle East. Key themes of his work include Islamism, democratisation and Middle East-Asia linkages. Before joining the Lowy Institute Anthony worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and served in Australian diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia and Israel, as a Senior Middle East Analyst with the Office of National Assessments, as director of the Policy and Coordination Unit of the Australian government's Iraq Task Force and as DFAT's Senior Speechwriter. |
